Sans Scum

The bathroom.  If anyone thinks of a room that needs to be cleaned, this would be the one.

Since I've been using Norwex, I don't dread cleaning the bathroom as much as I used to (I'm still not 100% in love with it though!).  I believe there are a few reasons for this:

1)  It doesn't take as long.
2)  It really cleans up well.
3)  And it lasts!

I especially hate cleaning showers...

So I usually wait forever to clean it up.  And then it used to take forever to clean (if it even came clean at all).  However, Norwex has a product that is perfect for someone like me: Descaler.  This product is naturally formulated and takes off the stubborn soap scum in 5 minutes!  I just spray it on, leave it for 5 minutes, and come back and wipe it away with a wet Enviro Cloth.  It is so easy and it stays clean longer because it doesn't leave a residue.  Hands down, this product has made my shower clean up so much easier.

I've also had success with another Norwex solution - Blue Diamond.  This product is highly concentrated so a little goes a long way!

After (on the right)

Why are there two different products?  The Descaler is designed for tough, stubborn scum.  After you've cleaned that up, you can continue to use the Blue Diamond regularly to prevent that scum from coming back so strong.  You can also use the Blue Diamond on the toilet bowl and the kitchen sink, and to shine up copper pots.

Ultra Power, Ultra Free

Let's go back to a discussion we started several weeks ago about the power and versatility of Norwex's Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent.  Prior to discovering Norwex, I would never have used my laundry detergent to lift grease and stains from anything except my clothes.  But now...

This is the screen on my oven exhaust fan.  It is extremely dirty and greasy.

I soaked it overnight in about 1/2 teaspoon of the Ultra Power Plus laundry detergent diluted in hot water.  (The water is already turning a brown color and at this point it's only been a few minutes.)

Completely clean and grease free!

The only extra thing I did after its overnight bath was use an Enviro Cloth to wipe off some spots that were stuck within the grated area.  I was careful, however, because the grate could pull at the Enviro Cloth and snag it.  A Spirisponge would work really well too.  These areas cleaned up easily because they had been pre-treated with...well, laundry detergent.

After hearing about all of the different ways you can use your Norwex products, you probably are trying to figure out how to get more!

This picture was sent to me from a recent hostess.  She got all of this FREE!
(including the laundry detergent - see top right)

That same hostess also provided a financial summary (for those of you who like numbers).

All of this could also be yours, for FREE, if you host a Norwex party.   If your wish list is bigger than your budget, hosting a party is the quickest and cheapest way to obtain those products.  My schedule fills up quickly, so act fast!

More Than Meets the Eye

One of my favorite things about Norwex is the versatility.  They have very few products that only have one use.

For example, Norwex makes a rubber brush to go with its floor system.  The standard use for the Rubber Brush is to easily brush all of the dirt and hair off from the dry or wet mop pad and into the garbage.  However, that little brush has even more uses...

Here, I used the rubber brush to "sweep" pet hair off from my microfiber couch.  I used it in the cracks of the couch (underneath the cushions, toward the back) to actually pick the hair out from that area.  I ended up with quite a little pile when I was finished.

I simply rinsed out the brush after I was finished and all of the hair trapped in the bristles went down the drain.  Now, the brush is ready to use the next time!  The brush can be used on upholstery, carpeted stairs and even on pets themselves!

Another example of versatility is the Norwex Carpet Stain Buster.  As the name implies, it can be used to clean stains from your carpet (including the dreaded red wine spills).  However, this product also works remarkably well on mold.

I sprayed the Carpet Buster into the bottle and then wiped it out with a wet Enviro Cloth.

Another one of my favorite "off label uses" is getting rid of garlic and onion smells on your hands with simply a wet Enviro Cloth.

In what unexpected ways have you used your Norwex products?

Shine On

I know there have been a couple of posts I've been promising to get to (more uses for the Ultra Power Plus laundry detergent, a visual of how versatile this product really is), but this was just so amazing to me that I had to post it!

Stainless steel.  I love how shiny and clean looking it is.  But it is a challenge at times to keep it that shiny and clean.  Fingerprints, baked on food, water spots - these things gunk up our stainless steel quickly.

This pan has been washed.  It is 'clean.'  But it still looks horrible!  It's functional but...where's the shiny?  And if I pulled this out when a guest was around, would they know it was clean?  Hmmm...doubtful.

So I used a little Cleaning Paste with a wet Enviro Cloth to see if it would shine up again.  Aha!  Yes, it worked!

See why I had to share this NOW?!

In April, the Cleaning Paste is paired with the Scrubby Corner Cloth - just in time for Spring cleaning!  They are being offered at a discounted rate ONLY in the month of April.  Check out Customer Specials on my website to find this deal.

Just a minute...

We often use this phrase, right? When you're in the middle of a task, in "just a minute" you'll turn your attention away. Or perhaps that task will only take "just a minute."

We especially want cleaning to be quick and easy. If we could do that in "just a minute," wouldn't we?

Check out this video. In less than a minute, I cleaned up the same greasy mirror I shared with you a couple months ago. You'll see it posted: 41 seconds to be exact!

*Note: I'm still getting the kinks worked out as far as videos are concerned.  Namely, the talking and being videoed... ;-)

Here I used 2 of the products from the Household Package I mentioned last week - the Enviro Cloth and the Window (Polish) Cloth.

These are such a fundamental part of cleaning with Norwex, they come in their own pack: the Basic Package.  If you are at all hesitant about what Norwex products to try - this package or the Household Package will definitely get you off to a good start!
